FAQ's
Driving License
Please check you have the correct driving licence to tow these trailers, full licences held before 1997 were automatically entitled to B+E on your licence which allowed you to tow a trailer up to 3500kg gross weight, however licences held after 1997 do not automatically get B+E entitlement and need to take a separate trailer test to tow up get this. This does not mean that you cannot tow but restricts you to certain rules, to find out what you can tow please read the Towing and The Law page.
Number Plates
It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure there is a legal number plate on the trailer you are hiring. Anyone taking their hire trailer without a legal number plate do so at their own risk. (Please note hand written number plates are not classed as a legal number plate)
